Psalm 43

  1. Identify sad and happy moments described in this psalm.
  2. Verse 3: We can think of “light” as something to help us focus. Imagine we are going meeting some close friends in the next few days. We know they will talk about the recent news in town. What might we say to explain “truth”?
  3. The psalmist complains about God deserting him, and at the same time asks God to lead him.
As a church community, what recent events have caused us to question what God is doing, and how have we sought God’s direction to deal with these issues?
  4. What is the message for our Church at this season, is it
    ✝ facts and info wars,
✝ discipleship and understanding our relationship with God,
✝ God’s message for the next generation,
    ✝ commitment and offering,
✝ confirming our mission near and far, or
    ✝ something else?
Consider one and use this psalm to prepare our congregation for the next stage of growth.
